How can technology be made more environmentally conscious?

Germany is asking itself a question in the area of mobile phone technology: Can a mobile phone mast be powered by renewable energy and be climate-neutral, reliable and cost-efficient at the same time? The mobile communications infrastructure company MIG has launched a competition on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport to find out exactly that. The goal? Discovery and testing of energy supply systems that do not cause local CO2 emissions and can ideally completely replace a conventional power supply.

In this competition, participants have the opportunity to present their innovative ideas and solutions, whereby the electricity requirements of a cell phone mast must be permanently and completely covered - between 25 KW and 40 KW. Promising solutions will be awarded prize money of 10,000 euros and given the option of being converted into a pilot project.

It's not too late to take part! However, if you want to have a real chance of winning an award and implementing your idea, you should keep an eye on a high level of maturity and short-term feasibility.
