North Rhine-Westphalia stands with Ukraine. This is our clear commitment to the people of Ukraine and to everyone in North Rhine-Westphalia who has supported them since the beginning of Russia's war of aggression. Their solidarity shows that unity is demonstrated above all through action.
For her commitment to Ukraine, @MonaNeubaur was awarded the Order of Princess Olga by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in May. Today, she is passing on this honor at the State Chancellery in Düsseldorf to the people of North Rhine-Westphalia who are dedicated to helping Ukraine.

Chemstars celebrates its 5th anniversary! 🎉 Over 75 supported startups, more than €350 million in funding, and over 600 jobs! 🚀 At the Chemstars Ecosystem Night 2026, @MonaNeubaur celebrated these achievements. The state will continue to support the project for a circular, greenhouse gas-neutral chemical industry of the future.
Minister @MonaNeubaur is visiting VDM Metals in Unna today and discussing the transformation of industry. The company is investing €190 million in a modern forging line with hydrogen-ready furnace technology, resulting in over 70,000 tons less CO₂ emissions per year and creating 60 new jobs. 🏭

How can the energy transition succeed locally? 💨 Minister @monaneubaur visited the energy city of Lichtenau today. The city generates 16 times more renewable energy than it consumes – and relies on citizen participation, lower electricity prices, and local value creation.
The future is getting a new home! The "Freiheit Emscher" project is creating a modern living and business location for North Rhine-Westphalia on approximately 1,700 hectares in Bottrop and Essen. Today, Minister @MonaNeubaur officially launched the project. 🏗️
