What will the hospital of tomorrow look like and how will the transformation to smart hospitals succeed? To this end, research is being carried out under the direction of the Essen University Medical Center and numerous other partners in the KI.NRW flagship project “SmartHospital.NRW”. A showroom, which was opened on April 5th in the Girardethaus not far from the clinic center in the presence of NRW Economics Minister Mona Neubaur, now provides initial insights into the work of the project. AI-based prototypes for different application scenarios in hospitals will be shown. The showroom is aimed at an informed specialist audience as well as interested citizens and thus contributes significantly to the qualification of medical staff as well as to social education on the subject of AI and medicine.
