From the coalfield to a leading region in digital technology
A new center for high-tech production is being created in Brainergy Park Jülich through the establishment of QCG Computer GmbH, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese Quanta Computer GmbH. The project, which is driving structural change in the Rhenish Revier, will create 360 new jobs by 2028 and develop the region into a leading location for digital and quantum technologies. The investment includes a 20,000 square meter production and storage hall, which is being realized by the Dutch commercial real estate developer CTP. The high-precision electronic systems and devices manufactured there are specifically intended for the area of autonomous driving. This underlines the importance of the Brainergy Park as an attractive location for innovative companies and shows the ongoing transformation from a coal-based to a state-of-the-art technology region.
