Strong future for founders! The start-up scholarship.NRW continues
Greater support, a focus on female start-ups and a better balance between family and starting a business – this is what North Rhine-Westphalia is offering from October 2023.
Starting next month, young entrepreneurs will receive increased monthly funding of 1,200 euros. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia has also made adjustments for young parents: If a child is born, there is an additional three months of scholarships and the option of suspending the scholarship for up to 12 months while receiving parental allowance.
The Gründerstipendium.NRW is already showing impressive figures:
- Over 6,500 applications from more than 3,800 start-up projects
- Over 4,300 founders were selected for funding
- A significant proportion of 24.5% female applicants
- Large participation from universities, technical colleges and existing employment relationships
This renewed commitment to start-ups was announced at Digital Demo Day 2023, Germany's largest start-up expo with a B2B focus.
