New perspectives for media companies and startups in NRW
The Media Innovation funding program offers media companies and advanced startups in North Rhine-Westphalia financial support for innovative projects. The aim is to strengthen the media sector in North Rhine-Westphalia by developing new products, formats or distribution channels. Particular attention is paid to the use of technologies such as automated content publishing and AI-supported analysis of user behavior.
Interested parties have the opportunity to apply until July 14, 2023. Selected winners benefit from the support of experienced coaches with expertise in innovation methodology, project management and management consulting. In addition, the NRW State Media Authority, which runs the Journalism Lab, has earmarked up to 350,000 euros to support pioneering projects. The actual funding depends on the specific project calculation and can cover up to 70 percent of the total project costs.
