BMWSB and BBSR are calling for participation in the new funding round of future construction research funding.
Funding applications must be submitted by June 1, 2022.
Universities, research institutions, companies and other players in construction research can apply for funding from the Federal Institute for Building, Urban and Spatial Research (BBSR) until June 1, 2022. Projects that are related to building construction and are expected to make an effective contribution to overcoming pressing challenges such as climate change, affordable housing and construction or demographic change can be funded. Applications can relate to basic research projects as well as industrial and experimental projects. Both individual institutions and research consortia are eligible to apply.
Five thematic focuses form the framework:
- Low-threshold, time- and cost-optimized construction and renovation
- Climate-neutral and climate-adapted buildings
- Building and renovating according to the circular principle
- Future viability of the construction process and value chain
- Added value of architecture and building culture practice
