Cross-border innovation in agribusiness through AGROPOLE INNOVATES

Agribusiness in the German-Dutch border region is being revitalized and innovatively shaped by the ambitious “AGROPOLE INNOVATES” project. Using a multi-faceted approach, the project addresses local and global challenges, strengthens animal and crop value chains and promotes a more sustainable and efficient agribusiness industry.

The team of project participants is made up of a variety of interdisciplinary disciplines: agriculture, horticulture, suppliers, food processing companies, software and automation technology providers, service companies, public institutions and educational institutions. Together they are committed to the common goal of strengthening the industry's innovative strength and promoting sustainable solutions.

The teams are working on groundbreaking solutions in four specific topic areas, ranging from the use of organic residues from insect production to improving crop protection and animal welfare to the application of artificial intelligence.

The innovation platform plays an important role, serving as a central hub for knowledge exchange and collaboration. It not only promotes knowledge transfer, but also plays a crucial role in attracting and retaining skilled workers, which is essential for transforming the industry towards greater ecological, economic and social sustainability.
