Transformation of the industry: Habeck for talks in North Rhine-Westphalia

Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Robert Habeck was in North Westphalia for talks on February 21st and 22nd and paid visits to the Federal Cartel Office, the Federal Network Agency and the Bonn location of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.

There was also a meeting in Düsseldorf with the State Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy, Andreas Pinkwart, and discussions with Prime Minister Wüst. In addition, two company visits to thyssenkrupp and Lenord Bauer & Co. GmbH in Oberhausen were on the agenda.

Federal Economics and Climate Protection Minister Habeck: “As an important industrial location, North Rhine-Westphalia aims to play a pioneering role in the transformation of industry towards greater climate neutrality. The country has initiated numerous projects to transform industry and has set ambitious goals with its energy supply strategy to advance the expansion of renewable energies. The challenges are great and we must tackle them courageously together. The aim is for Germany to remain a strong business location in the long term. Climate protection is now the prerequisite for competitiveness, innovative strength and prosperity.”
