Five offers one mission: Better networking in the NRW innovation ecosystem
In order to further network the nationwide active clusters and networks in North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the activities of the NRW.innovativ competence center and thus improve cooperation between the actors, the pilot phase of the Cluster-Dialog.NRW was started in January 2022 and will run from August In 2022 it moved into the implementation phase with an expanded circle of participating clusters and networks.
The cluster dialogue is a networking initiative with which the future exchange of information and experiences between the clusters and networks in NRW is specifically supported and coordinated through a needs-oriented bottom-up approach. In addition to the further development of the existing clusters and networks, the cluster dialogue takes into account new topics, technology and innovation fields that have previously been located on the edge and overlapping areas of the existing clusters and networks (cross-cluster innovation). were and can be further expanded.
The task of the cluster dialogue is to take on the role of a moderator and networker between the individual actors. In addition to individual, needs-oriented and thematic matching and discussion rounds (e.g. knowledge and technology transfer), plenary events are also organized at regular intervals with the majority of the nationally active clusters in order to build a sustainable structure of various clusters and networks.

With the NRW Clusters meet... format, the cluster dialogue offers interested NRW clusters and networks a regular, digital exchange format in which various regional, national and European innovation actors can introduce themselves. In addition to the presentation of the invited actor including their activities, the exchange appointments, which last approximately one hour, offer the opportunity to exchange ideas with the invited organizations.
2. Cluster matchmakings
With cluster matchmaking as a service offering, Cluster-Dialog.NRW aims to increase knowledge transfer and strengthen cross-clustering networking activities. In this way, NRW clusters are supported in matching with suitable partners in order to bundle capacities and make greater use of synergies.
- One -to- one matchmakings: As part of cluster matchmaking, Cluster-Dialog.NRW offers one-to-one matchmakings. The matchmakings are aimed at establishing cluster partnerships to promote exchange between NRW clusters with NRW, federal and other European clusters.
- Initiation of new cluster alliances: In addition to one-to-one matchmaking, Cluster-Dialog.NRW also offers targeted orchestrations of strategic alliances on specific topics by initiating exchange formats between several clusters.
3. Service offer: Cluster voucher
The cluster voucher supports clusters and networks in further developing their project ideas and taking them to a new level. This is support in the form of a maximum of six consulting days for early-stage, mid-stage and excellence projects.
4. Strategy dialogues and hands-on support
With the service offering for the preparation and implementation of strategy dialogues and hands-on support, the Cluster-Dialog.NRW aims at the further development of cluster strategies and the processing of ad-hoc challenges through selected analyzes and moderation of the strategy process. Specifically, it is a workshop-based process in which a specific question is addressed as part of a . should be discussed in a half-day analysis/strategy workshop.
5. Innovation forums
With its service offering for organizing future forums with companies, Cluster-Dialog.NRW offers the possibility of jointly organizing workshops on core topics of the present and future in order to convey innovative approaches and promote exchange between companies.
