NRW clusters meet Federal Agency for Leap Innovations

On October 28, 2022, around 20 clusters and networks came together in the digital exchange format NRW-Clusters meet ... of the Cluster-Dialog.NRW to find out SPRIND The federal agency, which works on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, was founded in 2019 and promotes disruptive technology with the potential for leap innovation. There are currently more than 40 projects being funded.

As part of the event, Ms. Diehl, Chief Partnership Officer of SPRIND, reported on the Federal Agency's funding approaches to support radical ideas and concepts with breakthrough innovation potential. The focus here is on developing an agile form of state innovation financing that is aimed at the needs of individual projects and their success. In total, more than 1,000 projects have already been submitted, the majority of which come from North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to the continuous opportunity to submit projects, four so-called SPRIND challenges were launched. The aim of these challenges is to support projects that develop and implement solutions to overcome current major challenges.
