In the new funding period of the ERDF/JTF program NRW 2021-2027, innovation will continue to be promoted as a priority.
On June 28, 2022, the ERDF/JTF program NRW 2021-2027 was approved by the European Commission. By 2027, forward-looking projects will be supported with a total investment volume of 4.2 billion euros in EU funds.
In addition to innovation, projects in the areas of sustainability, support for small and medium-sized businesses, quality of life, mobility and structural change in coal retreat regions are also supported. The funding is aimed particularly at small and medium-sized companies, universities and research institutions as well as municipalities.
The funding is looking for ideas and projects that specifically advance the necessary transformation processes in North Rhine-Westphalia - supported by the North Rhine-Westphalia state government and the European Union.
