EU project coordinated by the University of Münster analyzes resistance to therapy with psychotropic drugs
As part of the EU project, researchers from 12 countries came together to conduct joint research.
Drug resistance is a widespread phenomenon that occurs in around a third of patients. The EU project PSYCH-STRATA under the direction of the physician Prof. Dr. Bernhard Baune from the Westphalian Wilhelms University (WWU) in Münster is now investigating how this happens and how it can be recognized at an early stage and, if necessary, treated. The goal is to create a “biotype” for early detection and treatment of patients at risk of resistance to therapy.
