New funding opportunities from the ERDF/JTF North Rhine-Westphalia program in January 2023

With the publication of two new calls for funding, the ERDF/JTF program NRW is off to a strong start to the new year.

The “NRW Patent Validation” funding competition is aimed at top researchers for innovative products for a better economy and society. “GreenEconomy.IN.NRW” – the first of six innovation competitions – is aimed

Apart from this, the call for funding “Digitization of non-profit sports facilities in North Rhine-Westphalia” provides funds from the “REACT-EU” development program.

The ERDF/JTF program NRW 2021-2027

On June 28, 2022, the ERDF/JTF program NRW 2021-2027 was approved by the European Commission. The program will support the implementation of pioneering projects with an investment volume of 4.2 billion euros until 2027.

Aside from innovation, the topics of sustainability, support for small and medium-sized businesses, quality of life, mobility and structural change in coal retreat regions are also financially supported.

The focus of the funding is particularly on small and medium-sized companies, universities and research institutions as well as municipalities.
