NRW.innovativ and regions.NRW discuss starting points for cooperation at the first interregional exchange of experiences

Together with the representatives of the nine economic regions in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Rhenish Revier, possibilities for cooperation between NRW.innovativ and regionen.NRW were discussed at the first interregional exchange of experiences. The focus of the debate was the question of which regional policy measures and support offers for regional actors can advance the operationalization of the state's Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS) in the regions.

Each of the nine economic regions in North Rhine-Westphalia is characterized by different priorities and contributes to the dynamic innovation process with its individual strengths. Specific sub-spatial opportunities, challenges and development potential are taken into account when developing structural and regional policy measures and support offers.

After an impulse from Dr. Olaf Arndt and Julia Schwienbacher discussed the operationalization of the RIS in the regions, and the further development and addition of state government instruments were discussed along the RIS's fields of action. Following this, starting points for cooperation between NRW.innovativ and regions.NRW were identified, which address the specific support needs of the regions.
