Space innovations sought

The INNOspace Masters 2024, an outstanding competition in the field of space travel, is currently in its eighth edition and invites innovators to participate until April 23rd. Under the motto “Space up your Life – Innovations for a smarter Earth and Space”, the competition offers a platform to present visionary ideas in six different challenges. The competition is organized by the German Space Agency at DLR in cooperation with renowned partners such as the European Space Agency (ESA), the ESA Business Incubation Centers in Germany, Airbus, OHB and Mercedes-Benz.

The winners of the individual challenges not only expect prize money totaling 2.3 million euros, but also comprehensive support to transform their ideas into real projects or companies. This includes support from research and market specialists, the opportunity to work with world market leaders, access to first-class networks and funding sources and the chance to actively shape the future of space travel in Germany and Europe.

With a wide range of topics, including smart innovations and technology transfer, the competition is aimed at companies of all sizes, start-ups, research institutions, universities and individuals. The specific challenges, such as the DLR Challenge for applied research or the Airbus Challenge to promote the responsible commercialization of space, reflect the diversity and wealth of opportunities in the field of space travel.
