The Global Entrepreneurship Center publishes new call for proposals for sustainable startups

The Global Entrepreneurship Center (GEC) is looking for pioneers in sustainability.  The GEC supports founders in expanding their Sustech startups into scalable companies. The journey begins with the Catalyst program to strengthen the foundations for scaling. Startups that successfully complete the Catalyst program can qualify for the Scaling Factory to take the startup to the next level. The entire GEC scale-up journey includes funding benefits of up to €200,000 (EU de minimis) in the form of convertible loans and benefits in kind.

The Global Entrepreneurship Center is starting the year with a new call for proposals. Sustainable deep tech startups are scouted in the four subject areas of building & living, textiles, energy and agriculture & nutrition.

  • Building & Living: Under the motto “Creating positive and healthy living spaces for people, the environment and the climate”, we are looking for startups that find solutions to the most pressing problems in the areas of building and living. … Find out more
  • Textiles: With its current way of working, the textile industry is one of the most environmentally harmful industries in the world. The problems lie in the dangerous and environmentally harmful production processes, unsustainable recyclable materials and the huge amounts of textile waste that are generated every year. … Find out more
  • Energy: Technologies that address current challenges are also being sought in the energy sector. These include high greenhouse gas emissions, dependence on fossil fuels, security of supply and grid stability, and increasing demand for certain minerals and metals. … Find out more
  • Agriculture & Nutrition: In the food sector it is about the sustainable transformation of the entire supply chain. Problems that need to be addressed include high CO2 emissions, nutrition-related health risks and regional security of supply. … Find out more
