The federal and state governments agree on extensions of economic aid and the recognition of voluntary cancellations
The Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media and the Federal Ministry of Finance have agreed with the states to extend the federal government's special fund for cultural events in two important areas.
Minister of State for Culture Claudia Roth: “The special fund is the federal government’s central instrument for securing cultural events against pandemic-related risks. Many organizers of concerts, festivals or tours are currently faced with the decision of whether they can be economically responsible and organizationally able to carry out events under the current conditions. With the extension of economic aid and integrated outage protection that has now been decided, we are offering organizers the urgently needed planning security until the end of this year.”
