Aachen research institutes invite you to a conference on green production and circular economy
Today, the manufacturing industry remains highly dependent on global logistics chains, fossil fuels, and rare raw materials. Global crises such as climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the current developments in Ukraine also demonstrate that the future may pose far greater challenges for companies than simply meeting politically mandated sustainability targets or managing supply bottlenecks in individual sectors.
The Machine Tool Laboratory WZL of RWTH Aachen and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT will discuss what the next steps towards a circular economy could look like, which can make companies less dependent on fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal, during the 31st AWK on May 11 and 12, 2023 at the Eurogress Aachen and digitally.
AWK'23: Information hub for production technology trends
The Aachen Machine Tool Colloquium is both a networking event and an information hub. Participants from various disciplines traditionally gather in Aachen every three years to exchange ideas on the future of production. Accompanied by a top-class international lecture program and thematic tours of the host research institutions, the conference in May 2023 will once again offer specialists and managers from industry and academia a comprehensive overview of trends in applied research and development.
