The healthcare industry is becoming more attractive to founders in North Rhine-Westphalia
North Rhine-Westphalia is becoming increasingly attractive for founders in the health sector. This is the result of the Digital Health Start-up Monitor NRW 2022 was created by the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) in collaboration with the Healthcare Living Lab The study provides an overview of the start-up landscape in the field of digital health in North Rhine-Westphalia and is based on expert interviews in addition to an online survey and the evaluation of databases. According to the study, the focus of start-ups is primarily on digital products and digitally supported services.
Based on the analysis results, concrete recommendations are formulated on how founders in the field of digital health can be better supported in the future. Among other things, a central contact point and a NRW-wide network are to be set up to promote exchange within the start-up landscape. It is also recommended to implement continuous monitoring with a focus on digital health start-ups.
