KI.NRW presents Sustain.AI: AI tool for analyzing sustainability reports
Evaluating sustainability reports can be time and resource intensive. That's why KI.NRW has developed the AI tool "Sustain.AI", which supports auditors and controlling departments in making these processes more efficient.
With Sustain.AI, sustainability information can be searched for intuitively, processed in context and evaluated. By using image recognition algorithms and modern language models based on neural networks, the structure of PDF files is recorded and text passages are semantically compared and classified. The focus is on the “Global Reporting Initiative” checklist, a widely used framework for sustainability reporting.
Since 2017, listed companies with more than 500 employees have been obliged to publish sustainability reports, the creation of which Sustain.AI can support through systematic information processing.
