Digital information event on digitalization projects and offers for SMEs in the area of “value creation networks”

On October 20th, 13 participants came together in the digital exchange format NRW-Clusters meet... with the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum WertNetzWerke to find out more about existing support offers for digitization for medium-sized businesses, especially SMEs.

The Mittelstand-Digital Center WertNetzWerke is a funding project of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK). Topics in the area of digitalization that the center covers include artificial intelligence, data economy, networked data rooms, circular economy, cooperative business models as well as eStandards and processes . In four value creation laboratories operated by WertNetzWerke, SMEs can expand their knowledge of digitalization and test digital processes live. These are also a good connection for the cluster landscape in NRW.

Particular emphasis is placed on cooperation between companies and exchange between them is encouraged. Instead of monetary support, the focus is on services such as excursions, company visits, practical projects (in a network of at least three companies) as well as seminars and workshops. The offers are free of charge and provider-neutral, such as a mobile escape room for events, in which a problem is solved in a playful way using innovative technologies and digital content is conveyed. 78 projects have already been implemented with SMEs, which can be viewed on a “Digital Projects Platform”. Companies can also upload their own project ideas here in the style of a tender.
