The Innovation Prize of the BioRegions in Germany accepts scientific patents from life science research until March 24th and selects the best three applications
The BioRegions Working Group in Germany is the central network of regional initiatives to promote the economic use of modern biotechnologies in Germany. It annually awards the Innovation Prize of the BioRegions in Germany. This year, for the fifteenth time, the working group is honoring outstanding research results and inventions with high innovation potential.
What are we different about?
- Patent applications or granted patents in the field of modern biotechnology or medical technology related to biotechnology
Who can apply?
- Scientists from university and non-university research institutions who are inventors or owners of the patent application or patent
- Legal entities under public law (e.g. universities, technical colleges or patent exploitation agencies) that are the holder of the patent application or patent
If companies have already been founded on the basis of the patent application or patent, an application is only permitted if these companies do not yet generate any significant sales at the time of application and have not yet sold any significant company shares to investors.
What do we offer?
- Three winners can expect a prize of €2,000 each
- Six finalists have the chance to win an audience prize worth €2,000
- The awards ceremony will take place at the German Biotechnology Days on 4/5. May 2022 in Hamburg
- All six finalists will present their invention there to an international audience of experts,
investors and the trade press
