The Innovation Prize of the BioRegions in Germany accepts scientific patents from life science research until March 24th and will select the three best applications
The Working Group of BioRegions in Germany is the central network of regional initiatives promoting the economic use of modern biotechnologies in Germany. It awards the BioRegions Innovation Prize in Germany annually. This year, the Working Group is recognizing outstanding research results and inventions with high innovation potential for the fifteenth time.
What makes us stand out?
- Patent applications or granted patents in the field of modern biotechnology or medical technology related to biotechnology
Who can apply?
- Scientists from university and non-university research institutions who are inventors or holders of the patent application or patent
- Legal entities under public law (for example, universities, universities of applied sciences or patent exploitation agencies) that are the holders of the patent application or the patent
If companies have already been founded on the basis of the patent application or the patent, an application is only permissible if these companies do not yet generate significant revenues and have not yet transferred significant company shares to investors at the time of application.
What do we offer?
- Three winners can expect a prize of €2,000 each
- Six finalists have the chance to win an audience award worth €2,000
- The awards ceremony will take place at the German Biotechnology Days on May 4th and 5th, 2022 in Hamburg
- All six finalists will present their inventions there to an international audience of experts,
investors and the trade press.
