Competence Center for Aerospace Medicine inaugurated

Keeping people in aerospace healthy and productive are the main goals of aerospace medicine. In the future, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Bundeswehr Air Force will conduct joint research in Cologne in a globally unique competence center for aerospace medicine .

“The inauguration of the new research building of the Air Force Center for Aerospace Medicine brings the decades-long successful partnership between the two institutions even closer together,” says DLR Board Chairwoman Prof. Dr. Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla on the occasion of the ceremonial inauguration, “Short distances not only enable the intensive shared use of complex infrastructure, they also promote direct scientific exchange.”
