Behind the start-ups ingineeon – advanced immunopotherapeutics from Munich and the Berlin start-up TCBalance Biopharmaceuticals GmbH, Bonn -based Sweethoven Biotech took a strong third place. There was also a special prize in the form of a wildcard for participating as a finalist in the BioRiver Boost! 2025, was awarded to the founding project TumiKo from Essen .
The BioRiver Boost! is an annual competition organized by BioRiver eV, the association of the biotechnology and life science industry in the Rhineland. It offers young life science start-ups and promising start-up projects valuable support as well as the opportunity to network in the industry and increase their visibility. With access to renowned experts from global life science groups and investors, competition can be crucial to the success of a start-up. In addition, the prospect of membership in BioRiver eV is an additional incentive for the winners, as they can benefit from the association's resources and extensive network.
