The “Industrie.IN.NRW” competition is entering its third round

With the “Industrie.IN.NRW” innovation competition, the state and the EU are supporting exciting new ideas in the areas of “innovative materials” and “intelligent production”. A total of around 80 million euros are available for this in three rounds of submissions as part of the ERDF/JTF program NRW 2021-2027. The aim is to leverage potential through the development of new materials, products, production processes and services and to further strengthen the innovation and competitiveness of North Rhine-Westphalia as a business location. In the third round that is now starting, small and medium-sized companies can submit project outlines in conjunction with partners from science and research until October 31st.

The third round of the competition with a funding volume of 25 million euros will focus in particular on innovative, new and groundbreaking projects with significant economic potential for the EU internal market that meet the goals of the new EU initiative “Strategic Technologies for Europe” (STEP). contribute to reducing the European Union's dependencies. This is particularly about the development or production of critical technologies (digital technologies and technology-intensive innovations, environmentally friendly or resource-efficient technologies as well as biotechnologies) and the securing of corresponding value chains in the European Union.

Small and medium-sized companies in particular are supported in conjunction with partners from science and research. The innovation competition is being implemented as part of the ERDF/JTF program NRW 2021-2027 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs together with the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of the Environment.
