Startups in the growth phase make an important contribution to the strength of North Rhine-Westphalia as a business location. They develop innovations, create jobs and enable economic growth by reacting quickly to market changes and introducing new, future-oriented technologies.

That's why, from 2025, the country will shift the focus of supporting hubs to where crucial decisions are often made for startups on the way to scaleup. A total of six contact points are planned in North Rhine-Westphalia, which will offer startups access to knowledge, experience and networks in this important development phase. One hub will focus specifically on the growth phase of social-ecologically oriented impact startups. The call for tenders for the funding has already begun.

The state government provides a total annual budget of 2.5 million euros to support the six hubs. The projects will initially be funded for a period of three years. Both the five DWNRW hubs, whose funding from the state will continue until the end of September 2025, as well as other hubs in North Rhine-Westphalia that are currently funded by other sources can submit funding applications.

Applications can be submitted to the Project Management Jülich (PtJ) October 31, 2024 Further information about the funding guidelines, the funding requirements, the application process and the selection process can be found here .
