Promoting artificial intelligence in the media sector in North Rhine-Westphalia
The rapid technological development in the area of artificial intelligence (AI) and process automation offers media companies immense opportunities. However, in order to use this, they need support and guidance. This is exactly where the “Media Innovation Funding Program” comes in, which provides a total of 490,000 euros. Of this, up to 320,000 euros will flow proportionately into selected AI projects of media companies in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). A further 170,000 euros are reserved for strategic AI consulting. Media companies from NRW can apply for these funding until June 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
Diverse funding options
The “Media Innovation” program is aimed at both established media companies and advanced startups that want to implement innovative AI projects. It not only supports concrete project implementation, but also offers strategic consulting services that are particularly important for the management level of companies. The aim is to sustainably strengthen media diversity in NRW.
Goals and expectations
The funded projects are intended to develop a sustainable strategy for the use of AI or to implement a specific AI project. Possible focuses include the development of personalized content, the automation of work processes or innovative recruiting processes. It is important that the projects are understood as new and innovative in their respective organizations. It is also expected that the funding will be used for a specific purpose and the findings will be shared with the media industry.
