ProductionNRW is the cluster of mechanical engineering and production technology in North Rhine-Westphalia and is carried out by VDMA NRW . ProductionNRW sees itself as a platform for connecting, informing and marketing companies, institutions and networks with each other and along the value chain. Significant parts of the services that ProduktionsNRW provides are funded by the Ministry of Economics, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Hans-Jürgen Alt
From 1986 to 1990 he worked in the foreign trade department of the VDMA in Frankfurt. In 1990 he became managing director of the VDMA in the new federal states and built up the association structures in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. In addition, since 1990 he has been managing director of the State Association of Saxon Industry, the Saxon state representative of the Federal Association of German Industry. At the beginning of 2000 he moved to North Rhine-Westphalia, where he took over management of the VDMA NRW. Since the end of 2008, he has also been manager of ProductionNRW, the mechanical engineering/production technology cluster, as part of the cluster policy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. With an extensive network in industry, science and government in North Rhine-Westphalia, he is intensively committed to strengthening competitiveness and transforming the mechanical engineering and production industry in the region.
