NRW.Energy4Climate is the new state company for energy and climate protection. In order to limit the further increase in global warming, we must do everything we can to become climate neutral as quickly as possible. As one of the strongest economic regions in Europe, NRW has a special responsibility here.  

NRW therefore wants to be climate neutral by 2045 at the latest. The goal presents Germany's most populous federal state with enormous challenges that society, politics, business and science must overcome together. As an industrial country, the transition to climate neutrality requires a special effort. In order to cope with this task, the state has reorganized its support for the implementation of climate protection and energy transition measures for the future by founding NRW.Energy4Climate.
