Start of the graduate cluster “AUFBRUCH”: promoting the sustainable bioeconomy
New impulses for the Rhenish district
On July 2, 2024, the “AUFBRUCH” graduate cluster was ceremoniously opened. This project aims to offer young researchers interdisciplinary qualifications, promote innovations in the bioeconomy and support start-ups in the Rhenish region. Seven academic institutions and an innovation network are working together with funding of 12.5 million euros from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Minister Ina Brandes emphasized the importance of cooperation between science and business for a climate-neutral future in North Rhine-Westphalia.
