NRW.innovativ Summit

After taking a journey into exciting innovation ecosystems around the world last year, at the next summit we will focus on the many initiatives, projects and organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia that, on the one hand, are further developing artificial intelligence and, on the other hand, are helping to make it successful and thereby unlock significant innovation potential for NRW.

It was therefore a pleasure for us, together with KI.NRW  and it's OWL as cooperation partners, to create a forum for the start of 2024 and the NRW.innovativ Summit on the topic

How does NRW benefit from the innovation potential through AI?

in the Zukunftsmeile 2 in Paderborn.

Dr. Christian Temath, Managing Director of KI.NRW and Prof. Dr. developments in AI research , including concrete application examples, as part of their keynote speeches The opportunities to address the worsening shortage of skilled workers were emphasized, but Alan Warburton's so-called “wonder-panic condition” was also discussed, which causes one to oscillate between enthusiasm for the potential and respect for understanding the effects.

As part of a discussion session, Dr. Andrea Altepost (WERKsam Competence Center), Prof. Dr. Roman Dumitrescu, Dr. Urs Peter Ruf (Future Center KI NRW), Dr. Christian Temath and Prof. Dr. Kirsten Thommes (Competence Center for Working World+) spoke about the paradox, among other things, and shared her experiences about which measures ensure barrier-free application and acceptance of AI in the world of work.

The information and meet and greet event was rounded off by NRW.Bank's presentations by customer advisor Christian Hoischen on how entrepreneurial digitalization projects can be promoted, as well as pitches for AI-relevant offers.

We would like to thank KI.NRW and it's OWL for the successful cooperation and that it's OWL and the Fraunhofer IEM made the Future Mile 2 rooms available to us for the event!
