A framework program that brings together innovation, regulation and practice.
On March 13, 2026, Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld invites you to the event “tech4cognition – innovation2business.nrw”. Between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., visitors can expect a diverse program of lectures, interactive workshops, an accompanying exhibition, and individual consultations on future-oriented technologies.
The focus is on innovative solutions in the field of human-technology interaction, as well as cognitive and technical assistance systems. These technologies are intended to make everyday life easier and, in particular, to open up new perspectives in care, healthcare, and independent living. Furthermore, practical developments from various disciplines such as textiles, chemistry, and other applied research fields will be presented.
The event offers numerous networking opportunities: participants can engage in discussions with researchers, develop new approaches to collaboration, and receive advice on intellectual property rights and commercialization strategies. An exhibition by young scientists complements the program and provides insights into current research projects.
The event is organized by the Center for Assistive Technologies Rhine-Ruhr – a consortium of the universities Niederrhein, Rhein-Waal, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, and the University of Duisburg-Essen – in cooperation with the university network innovation2business.nrw. Its aim is to strengthen the transfer of knowledge and technologies between science, industry, and society. Numerous regional partners support the event.
As a co-organizer, innovation2business.nrw is particularly committed to promoting innovation partnerships in North Rhine-Westphalia. Companies receive support in identifying suitable technologies, establishing collaborations, and strategically developing their innovation activities.
Participation in the event is free of charge. You can download the event program below.
