Interregional exchange of experience promotes innovation and cooperation

The NRW.innovativ Competence Center, commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy, invited managing directors and innovation managers from the nine regions of North Rhine-Westphalia to the fourth interregional exchange of experience. These nine economic regions are drivers of regional innovation in business, society, and infrastructure.

A coordinated and future-proof innovation and structural policy in North Rhine-Westphalia requires

  • a common compass along the strengths of each region and
  • Convergence topics for an intelligent and agile funding structure by the federal and state governments.

The content was discussed along the lines of current key development themes from and by the regions. These include topics such as: 🤖 Sensitive Robotics & Smart Production / Industry, 🛡️ Defense & Cybersecurity, ♻️ Circular Economy & Green Tech, 🔋 Smart Energy & Storage Technologies, 🌾 Digital Agriculture & Agribusiness, 🚛 Smart Logistics & Connected Mobility, 🩻 Digital Health & Life Science, and new industrial and economic sectors such as 🚀 the aerospace industry

The location was highly symbolic: The Buschhütten campus – a real-world laboratory, technology hub and a living example of the symbiosis between business and industry as well as research and application for the benefit of society and the region.
