The Medicine.NRW Cluster invites you to its annual cluster conference 2023 on the topic of geriatric medicine in North Rhine-Westphalia . Geriatric medicine is an interdisciplinary field that addresses a key challenge of demographic change: an increasingly aging society. The goals of geriatric medicine are:
- the development of strategies for healthy aging ,
- early risk prediction, prevention and diagnosis of age-related diseases and
- The improved treatment and support of diseases of old age and in old age.
The innovative approaches being pursued in North Rhine-Westphalia will be the focus of the presentations at our cluster conference. The conference will bring together the interdisciplinary community of geriatric medicine in North Rhine-Westphalia. Workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities will highlight the key developments in geriatric medicine in North Rhine-Westphalia. A poster prize for early-career researchers will also be awarded. The authors of the three best posters will then have the opportunity to present themselves and their findings in short presentations at the cluster conference.
