A new study entitled “Artificial intelligence in the trades – identifying AI potential with the AI.Shadowing methodology” shows that North Rhine-Westphalia craft businesses – from medium-sized bakeries, mechanical engineering companies and tool manufacturers to the Chamber of Crafts – have great potential for have the use of AI. AI experts from KI.NRW and Fraunhofer IAIS have carried out so-called AI.Shadowings in several companies from different commercial groups and found that the example applications for the use of AI are very diverse. This includes automated document processing, visual quality controls and demand-based sales forecasts.
