Increasing the efficiency of production machines: Smart, self-learning assistance system for production

The efficiency of production machines is often far below their technical potential.

The reason: Experienced employees are often unavailable in the event of a malfunction, while other employees lack the know-how to resolve the actual cause of the error. This is where the self-learning assistance system MADDOX comes in: Using machine learning methods, it analyzes machine and process data, searches for similar malfunctions in the past via pattern recognition, and presents the solution on a tablet. The system was developed by Peerox GmbH, a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV.
