Competence Center for Aerospace Medicine inaugurated
Maintaining the health and performance of personnel in the aerospace industry is the primary goal of aerospace medicine. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the German Air Force will collaborate on research in Cologne in a globally unique center of excellence for aerospace medicine.
“The inauguration of the new research building of the German Air Force’s Center for Aerospace Medicine brings the decades-long successful partnership between the two institutions even closer together,” said DLRChairwoman Prof. Dr. Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla at the official inauguration ceremony. “Short distances not only enable the intensive joint use of sophisticated infrastructure, but also promote direct scientific exchange.”
