Behind the Munich-based startup ingineeon – advanced immunotherapeutics and the Berlin-based startup TCBalance Biopharmaceuticals GmbH, Bonn- based Sweethoven Biotech secured a strong third place. Additionally, a special prize, in the form of a wildcard for participation as a finalist in BioRiver Boost! 2025, was awarded to the Essen- based startup TumiKo .
The BioRiver Boost! is an annual competition organized by BioRiver eV, the association for the biotechnology and life science industry in the Rhineland region. It offers young life science startups and promising ventures valuable support, as well as the opportunity to network within the industry and increase their visibility. Access to renowned experts from global life science corporations and investors can be crucial to a startup's success. Furthermore, the prospect of membership in BioRiver eV is an additional incentive for the winners, as they can benefit from the association's resources and extensive network.
