Art, culture, design and science open up new perspectives on socio-ecological transformation.

With transform.NRW, a digital platform has been launched that brings together knowledge and practical examples related to a socio-ecological sustainability transformation. Art, culture, and design illustrate complex relationships and open up new approaches to a sustainable future. creative.nrw has been a cooperation partner in this collaborative project since its inception.

The platform presents around 50 examples from art, design, and science – including the projects Cosmaki and Das Rezyklat. Texts, images, and videos show how different actors are shaping concrete processes of change.

In addition, transform.NRW compiles the findings from approximately 35 Good Practice Breakfasts, where the potential impact of the projects was discussed. An interactive SDG model links the examples to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. A digital map locates projects and transformation actors in North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond. The "Map/ing Sustainability" method developed within the project is also presented.

transform.NRW is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and implemented by the Wuppertal Institute and the University of Wuppertal.
