NRW.innovativ and regionen.NRW discuss starting points for cooperation at the first interregional exchange of experiences

Together with representatives from the nine economic regions in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Rhenish mining region, the first interregional exchange of experiences took place, focusing on opportunities for cooperation between NRW.innovativ and regionen.NRW. The debate centered on the question of which regional policy measures and support services for regional stakeholders can advance the operationalization of the state's Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS) in the regions.

Each of the nine economic regions in North Rhine-Westphalia is characterized by different priorities and contributes to the dynamic innovation landscape with its individual strengths. Specific sub-regional opportunities, challenges, and development potential are taken into account when developing structural and regional policy measures and support programs.

Following a presentation by Dr. Olaf Arndt and Julia Schwienbacher on the operationalization of the Regional Development Strategy (RIS) in the regions, the discussion focused on the further development and expansion of state government instruments, aligned with the RIS's areas of action. Subsequently, starting points for collaboration between NRW.innovativ and regionen.NRW were identified, addressing the specific support needs of the regions.
