30,000 euros for innovative mobility solutions in North Rhine-Westphalia
With the Mobility Award NRW 2026, the Alliance for Mobility within the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Transport is once again recognizing innovative projects that will shape the future of passenger and freight transport as well as transport infrastructure in the state. Applications are now being accepted until September 13, 2026, via the competition website. Eligible participants include individuals, companies, start-ups, initiatives, institutions, and associations.
The prize money, totaling €30,000, will be used to further develop the winning projects. The winners will be announced in December 2026 at the Mobility Day NRW event.
The selection process takes place in three stages: After a preliminary selection by a panel of experts, an independent jury evaluates the projects and nominates five finalists. The public then decides the final ranking via online voting.
The Mobility Prize NRW has been awarded since 2023 and recognizes pioneering ideas for sustainable mobility in North Rhine-Westphalia. Last year, the cycling project "Triangel – the cycle path triangle in the Steinfurt district" won first place.
