New project supports start-ups in assessing their impact potential
With the "Impact Assessment NRW" , the Borderstep Institute for Innovation & Sustainability aims to improve the assessment of the sustainability impacts of innovative start-up projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. The goal is to develop an impact model that systematically describes and quantifies the contribution of sustainable innovations to societal goals – for example, in the area of climate protection.
A key element of the project is four free online workshopstaking place between June and September 2025. These workshops will introduce the GHG & Impact Estimator – a tool for assessing climate protection potential over a five-year period. The workshops are aimed at startups and business ventures in North Rhine-Westphalia, particularly those wishing to convincingly demonstrate their impact within the framework of funding programs such as Grüne Gründungen.NRW or KUER.NRW .
The dates are: June 27th, July 22nd, August 19th and September 15th, 2025, each from 12:00 to 14:00. Individual consultations are also available for interested start-ups from North Rhine-Westphalia.
