From coal mining region to leading region in digital technology
A new high-tech production center is being created in Brainergy Park Jülich with the establishment of QCG Computer GmbH, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese company Quanta Computer GmbH. This project, which is driving structural change in the Rhenish mining region, will create 360 new jobs by 2028 and develop the region into a leading location for digital and quantum technologies. The investment includes a 20,000-square-meter production and warehouse facility being developed by the Dutch commercial real estate developer CTP. The high-precision electronic systems and devices manufactured there are specifically designed for the field of autonomous driving. This underscores the importance of Brainergy Park as an attractive location for innovative companies and demonstrates the ongoing transformation from a coal-based to a state-of-the-art technology region.
