Experts wanted: Apply now with forward-looking ideas for East Westphalia-Lippe
OstWestfalenLippe GmbH is launching its 16th annual OWL Innovation Award. The competition seeks technical innovations from industry, trade, and startups that offer creative solutions to key challenges such as decarbonization, digitalization, and demographic change. Companies based in OWL can apply until September 19, 2025.
The competition is divided into three categories:
- Market visions: Innovations with the potential to tap into national and international markets.
- Sustainability: Solutions for environmental and climate protection, health, nutrition and mobility.
- Start-up: For young companies (founded after June 30, 2022) with prize money of 5,000 euros and a consulting package.
Among those who impressed in the last round were:
- ARI fittings with an energy-saving butterfly valve
- Kraft Group with a sustainable packaging process
- SMARTtray GmbH with a method for developing new plant varieties
- DEVITY GmbH as a promising start-up in the field of IT security
