NRW.innovativ visits the "Innovation Day for SMEs 2023" of the BMWK in Berlin
On June 15, the BMWK's SME Innovation Day 2023 took place in Berlin under the motto "Change through Innovation." Around 300 exhibitors presented their innovative new developments, supported by the BMWK's open-topic funding programs. Despite the open-topic nature of the funding, a large proportion of the supported projects addressed future-oriented topics such as climate protection, sustainability, and digitalization. The event also provided participants from business, politics, and government with an opportunity to engage in dialogue.
Type of event: Conference
Date: June 15
Organizer: BMWK
Number of participants: approx. 2,000
What's in it for North Rhine-Westphalia?
- The "Innovation Program for Business Models and Pioneering Solutions" (IGP) for market-oriented, non-technical innovations will be continued. The funding focuses primarily on the novelty of the problem-solving approach.
- Reform of public procurement or transformation of procurement law (procurement transformation package). The aim is to simplify, professionalize, digitize and accelerate public procurement procedures.
- Canada, the partner country of this year's Innovation Day, is an important strategic partner. Therefore, opportunities for cooperation at the state level should be expanded.
