Digital information event on digitization projects and services for SMEs in the area of "value creation networks"
On October 20th, 13 participants met in the digital exchange format NRW-Clusters meet… with the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum WertNetzWerke to learn more about existing support services for digitalization for medium-sized businesses, especially SMEs.
The SME Digital Center WertNetzWerke is a project funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). Topics in the field of digitalization covered by the center include artificial intelligence, data economy, networked data spaces, circular economy, cooperative business models, and eStandards and processes. In four value creation labs operated by WertNetzWerke, SMEs can expand their knowledge of digitalization and test digital processes live. These labs also provide a valuable connection for the cluster landscape in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Particular emphasis is placed on cooperation between companies and the exchange between them is encouraged. Instead of monetary support, the focus is on services such as excursions, company visits, practical projects (in collaboration with at least three companies), as well as seminars and workshops. These offerings are free of charge and vendor-neutral, such as a mobile escape room for events where a problem is solved playfully using innovative technologies, while simultaneously conveying digital content. Seventy-eight projects have already been implemented with SMEs, which can be viewed on a "Digital Projects Platform." Companies can also upload their own project ideas here in the style of a call for proposals.
