NeMo.bil: Swarm-based mobility system for sustainable public transport
The NeMo.bil is creating a visionary concept that could revolutionize public transport, especially in rural areas. The goal: sustainable and individualized mobility solutions that are efficient, environmentally friendly, and user-centric.
The concept: Swarm-based mobility
The project centers on lightweight, electrically powered, and autonomous vehicles, known as "cabs." These cabs can flexibly form convoys to cover longer distances together, thus saving energy and resources. Once in the destination region, the convoys disperse, and the vehicles transport passengers directly to their individual destinations.
Digital platform as control
The system is coordinated by an intelligent digital platform that calculates the optimal use of vehicles in real time. It ensures that routes, vehicle availability, and convoy composition are efficiently planned. This allows for a high degree of flexibility and individualization without losing sight of sustainability goals.
Solutions for rural regions
Especially in regions where traditional public transport systems are often inadequate, NeMo.bil offers a promising alternative. It bridges the gap between private and public transport, while simultaneously reducing emissions and improving the mobility of the population.
