ProduktionNRW has launched the event series "Enablers and Pioneers: Mechanical Engineering Shapes the Transformation" to showcase innovative solutions from North Rhine-Westphalia. The inaugural event focuses on exemplary business models for the circular economy, a megatrend that is bringing about profound changes in society, the economy, and the environment. More efficient resource use and more environmentally friendly production methods are key objectives.

The mechanical and plant engineering sector plays a leading role by providing crucial technologies for cross-industry transformation and already practicing core concepts of the circular economy such as high product quality, service-oriented offerings and longer product lifespans.

The kick-off event offers an introduction to transformation opportunities and focuses on the circular economy. Pioneering models for circular transformation from companies such as WILO SE, igus GmbH, and Kampf GmbH will be presented. These examples are intended to inspire other companies to engage with the key themes of transformation and develop their own innovative models. A crucial element of the event is interactive exchange and the development of a network focused on these topics.

The series is aimed at managers and employees from the mechanical engineering sector and related value chains, with a focus on developing topic-related networks.
