A pioneering initiative in North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond
The Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) is launching a groundbreaking project: “Training Clusters 4.0 in the Lignite Mining Regions”. With a budget of up to €1.96 million per cluster over 3.5 years, this initiative aims to increase the quality and attractiveness of dual vocational training in the lignite mining regions, including the Rhenish mining area in North Rhine-Westphalia.
An "Education Cluster 4.0" comprises industry-specific companies, start-ups, and other educational stakeholders who collaborate on redesigning dual vocational training. Key topics include CO2-neutral energy, innovation, digitalization, and education.
Who can participate? Groups of at least five stakeholders from the economic sector who want to jointly shape the future of their region. Applications can be submitted until November 13, 2023.
Support is guaranteed: The project sponsor VDI/VDE-IT offers a wide range of networking activities, qualification measures and further training.
